Pools & Spas R Fun was founded in 1978 by John Groschopf. Starting with only a pick-up truck and some pool gear, the business was soon expanded into a multi-van fleet criss-crossing the Chicagoland area.
A showroom and headquarters was established in Round Lake Beach, Illinois. Later on, the opertation was moved to Bristol, Wisconsin. Tragedy struck in 1995 when an electrical fire consumed the building housing the business. Dogged and resilient, the founder carried on with the surviving fleet and equipment (in some cases liteally driven out of a flaming building) and resumed business. Dedication and persavence are but two of the qualities that have made Pools & Spas R Fun an industry leader for over three decades.
We’ve received over 40 gold medal awards for service and construction. Our work is built to last, as we over-build and over-service every thing we do. Ask some of customers; many have been with us for over 30 years, some as many as two generations.
Our technicians have been trained and certified by the NSPI, ASPA Certified Pool and Spa Service, and ASPA Pool and Spa Construction. The company president has even obtained an MBA and a Masters in Clinical Psychology with which to better understand and serve our clients.
